Anca Berlogea (aka Ana Boariu) is an awarded Romanian theatre and documentary film director, with a double PhD in theatre and theology, who managed to combine a journalistic and an artistic approach in researching and reviving stories of the Stalinist era, both in theatre and in documentary films.  Her most daring European project was a theatre tour on the way to Compostela, Memories of Journeymen, produced by UNITER in 2003, with Romanian and French actors, honouring the memory of those who resisted the totalitarian regime. But the most challenging was to promote the city of Blaj, prior to the visit of Pope Francis, in June 2019, through 140 one-minutes video, aired daily for 140 days on Facebook - Blajminute. Out of the one-minute films, a series of 7 documentaries, presenting Blaj from seven different point of views was created in 2022, aired by TVR.

Starting her career just after the fall of communism, in a continuously evolving media environment, Anca Berlogea has also worked in television and in cinema production - and is still working now, as producer for TVR. Among her most notable collaborations are the Making of Callas Forever by Franco Zefirelli, produced for MediaPro Pictures in 2001, and managing the locations for Radu Jude’s Aferim!, awarded with the Silver Bear in Berlin, 2015.

Last but not least, Anca Berlogea was constantly involved in creative learning projects, giving teenagers a voice and even organizing for two years the Signis-Unicef Romania Festival for children's rights, Facing children (2006-2007). Working with teenagers brought her to a new perspective of her work: gamification!
